Book Theme Park is a place for families, where curiosity, imagination and fun are beautifully woven making visitors feel like reading. Literally, it’s a book theme park which coexists with the nature. "book = park" and "park = book"

We hope this theme park will serve as a channel of communication which brings peace and a better quality of life and especially as a “park = book” jointly written on the ground by painters, architects, landscaping artists and authors using light, air, soil, water, stone, wind and trees.

It is a physical collection of pictures and a book which contains letters (the mental embodiment of the body), stories, legends, religions, philosophies, science, art, history and all the other aspects of human society. The theme park is a book or architecture of letters which reflect the world; creative “book = park” which returns to the nature what we learned from it and brings peace to the nature. We hope that people, especially families, will be able to sympathize with these emotions when they take a walk and relax.

Book Theme Park opened in 2006 and is operated by Seongnam Cultural Foundation. Every year, more than 100,000 people visit this place and experience various shows and exhibitions. As such, the park has grown into a place of culture which breathe along with books.

An access road decorated with a structure reflecting various languages around the world (wind). A walk lined up with murals in the form of a maze themed on the history of books (time). An outdoor park with a floor designed as an astronomical chart (sky), a medication place with a pond in the form of a book (water) and a book café (space).
The book café consists of a multi-media room where one can read e-books on the Internet, an archive to borrow books from and an event & exhibition hall. The Theme Park presents a variety of events for kids and families every month and reservation can be made by phone.
