What is Media Center

Media Center is a place designed to deliver lifelong learning for knowledge, creativity, and communication.
Media refers to dissemination of information. Media is an important means of communication that connects people from all over the world.

Nevertheless, more needs to be done, and Seongnam Cultural Foundation will work harder to ensure that its cultural facilities will reach a broader range of people.

Information is vast and users are numerous but it is unique in a way because it is highly responsive to every one of our thoughts and emotions. If certain information only belongs to an individual, one's ability to process different information will be limited.

Along with old media formats (video, photo, radio, newspaper), the development of new media technology (internet, smart phone, tablet PC) affords quick and easy access to certain information. This change fosters and encourages diversity and brings in a supportive and lively community.

The Media Center will serve as a learning ground (Media Literacy) where one can acknowledge social changes and communicate and connect with one another through media. It is a meeting space (Community) where diversity is accepted and it is a creative space (Public Access) where one can deliver one's thoughts using media.

Operated by Seongnam Cultural Foundation, Seongnam Media Center is opened to public in association with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and Seongnam City.
